Bacup Camera Club

A club for local amateur photographers.

On every Wednesday from 7:30 - 9:30 PM, from the first Wednesday in September through to the last Wednesday of May each year.

We are a small group of amateur photographers based in the mill town of Bacup, located in the Rossendale District of Lancashire. We are very much part of the Bacup community and membership is open to any person over the age of 16 (or 15 if you are a year-11 student). We welcome new members of any level of experience so whatever sort of camera you use, please visit our website and consider joining us if you think we meet your needs.

Our club subscription is a one-off annual fee of £100 (pro rata if you join mid term). However, interested parties can attend free of charge for up to 3 weeks to see if we suit their needs.

We cater for all abilities, male or female, from novice through to professional, sharing advice, experience, tips etc. regarding photography and cameras/camera phones. We do this through workshops, discussions, viewing both member and external images, inside or outdoor activities such as field trips/photo walks etc. Cameras will be needed for workshops/field trips. Usually we advise when required as they are not needed every week. It depends on that nights activity.

We also enter and hold both internal photography competitions between members and other local camera clubs as well as external regional competitions.

Interested parties can turn up on a club night though it would be better to either contact the club via our website contact page or send a direct message on our Instagram account @bacupcameraclub.

Although we break for the summer months, we do meet for outdoor activities for field trips, photography walks, and local events.
